BIO:
Marty Warner is the owner of “What’s YOUR Pain Point?” an LLC that specializes in coaching dentists to become effective CEOs of their practice. Marty believes that dental school teaches dentistry; but that he transforms dentists into CEOs.
Marty has been serving others all of his life: it started with delivering papers to the neighborhood in the 4th grade and “service to others” continues to this day. Prior to becoming a licensed business coach in 2008, Marty spent 35 years solving business problems for and coaching managers, CIOs and other executives of Fortune 500 companies like IBM, Levi Strauss, and Crown Zellerbach.
Along the way he started and grew his own small business, coached others to do the same, acquired a BS in Physics and an MBA with Honors in Marketing & Finance. He is also a certified Guerrilla Marketing expert.
Marty and his wife, Elena, have owned a home in Tucson since their honeymoon in 2004. They also are fortunate to have a second home and business office in Walnut Creek, California, and commute between cities every three to four months.
Golf is another passion of Marty’s and it was in Walnut Creek that he won 11 club championships (stroke and match play) over the last 10 years. Elena and he met on the golf course so it’s not surprising that they take their golf clubs wherever they travel. The ingredients that mark his success in golf—passion, single-minded focus with the end in mind, and incremental improvement through practice—come together in his coaching of others where he delivers to his clients the results that they seek.
Always active in his sons’ soccer clubs and Little League as well as homeowners’ associations, Marty continues this involvement in community activities with membership in local Chambers of Commerce in Tucson-Oro Valley and Walnut Creek. He also enjoys the camaraderie and speaking as a member of Toastmasters International in both cities.
Marty’s first wife, Bonnie, passed away in 2000 from a cancer that (she was convinced) came from the stress of her job as a high school principal. Because of first-hand knowledge of what work or job-related stress can do to one’s life, Marty is on a crusade to do what he can to minimize stress in business owners’ (specifically dentists’) lives by sharing his successful experiences and proven strategies. Growing a practice is often a lonely and “trial and error” journey. Let him be of service to you.
